Trouble-free, safe and efficient generator operation is impossible without the availability of key engine data for the generator management system. McLennan Power utilises active and passive VDO sensors to record and forward the necessary engine information to the generator controller. These sensors need to work reliably since incorrect operation of any one of these senders can cause a generator no-start or failure.

Due to the possibility that the failure of any of the instrumentation sensors on a diesel engine can cause unneccesary generator shutdown and the subsequent loss of power on the protected load, McLennan Power has selected VDO as their preferred choice for the generator diesel engine instrumentation on all their generator solutions.
